A day dedicated to snaps and crayfish: a typically Swedish palette and, above all, another reason to have fun!
During the high season, at the end of August, many crayfish can be found in the country's waters. The Swedes love them and even have a festival dedicated to their tasting: Kräftskiva. On the second Wednesday of the month, the Swedes get together to taste the new crayfish, cooked with dill and washed down with one (or more) glasses of brandy! If you're in the area around this time, don't be surprised to see groups of Swedes adorned in colorful paper hats toasting while singing around a table covered in crayfish!
