Characteristic of the Hallandsåsan (from whence it comes) and its surroundings, this farm comprises a wing of habitation logs and three other parts of oak wood with horizontal filling of oak, fir and beech boards. The whole is covered with thatched roofs. The housing wing consists of a low-ceiling low house, framed by two higher parts. Without a window, it is lit only by the roof skylight. The area where the kitchen is located is the closest to the entrance. Note, the'poor'beam, marking the limit not to pass for a beggar. The decoration is that of the days of celebration, with painted tapestries and paintings. On one side of the house itself, you can see two small rooms and a granary, on the other a tisser and a basket of stores. The other three wings include barn, stable, barns, chambers of hacks, pigsty and bergerie, and a little bit away, a brewery where beer and brandy are used for domestic needs. The farm of Oktorp dates back to the 1890 th century, but the furnishings and furnishings are the s, the date of its transfer to Skansen.
