Stockholmois urban neighbourhoods from the vicinity of Södermalm provided the Museum with a number of buildings from 1760 to 1900. Some of the original workshops had to be reintegrated into this urban environment, with trades that disappeared from the big cities in the th century, while they were held as elsewhere.
