TOTTIESKA MALMGÅRDEN (THE VILLA TOTTIE)
Go there and contact
This is the partial reconstruction of the stone house that the wealthy trader Charles Tottie undertook to build in Stockholm in 1765. Several rooms are richly decorated: wood and cedar panelling and doors, wall paintings at the end of the th century… There are few memories of the Tottie family, but the furniture of each piece has been reconstituted according to inventories. The ground floor comprises the dining room, the mahogany panelled lounge, the bedroom (including tapestries and alcove from houses of the same time) and a small gallery of paintings. On the floor you can find the gazebo, with motifs of Roman ruins, a lounge for coffee and a little boudoir.
