The visit of this former silk factory is an opportunity to discover a unique place, witness of the Swedish industrialization.
It is the last silk factory in Scandinavia still in operation! Opened by Knut August Almgren, the production workshop was one of the most important in the country and supplied the royal court, the bourgeoisie and the nobility of Stockholm. The visit proposes to discover this factory, witness of the beginning of industrialization in Sweden. The second floor exhibits the machines of the time while in the attic, we learn more about the history of silk.
