A very famous festival in Sweden, which has already seen Bryan Adams, The Corrs, Pulp, Suede, Kent, Blondie and B.B. King, among others. The Storsjöyran Festival (or the Great Lake Festival) started in 1983 and is now an annual event. It was created by the locals to show the rest of Sweden the dynamism and creativity of a region that was previously considered secondary. The festival is now one of the largest in the country, with around 40,000 visitors each year.
