OFFICE DE TOURISME
Leksand, a beautiful town on the southern shores of Lake Siljan, attracts visitors with its handicrafts, great midsummer celebration and ice hockey. Around Leksand, you'll find a number of charming villages in the romantic Dala style, which has become part of Sweden's international image. Leksand is synonymous with 94 villages built in the emblematic Dala style and rich farmhouses of great cultural and historical value. You'll also find several family attractions such as Leksand Sommarland and the annual medieval market. In winter, you can ski at Granberget and visit the Tegera Arena to cheer on the local field hockey team, Leksand IF. Other places to visit include the original Clas Ohlson store, as well as the Leksand Crispbread bakery store, which has roots dating back to the early 1800s.
