Fjällbacka, a charming fishing village located 1h30 north of Göteborg by car, is an emblematic place in Sweden due to its connection with the famous actress Ingrid Bergman. Every summer, from 1958 to 1982, she spent time here with her family, and was appreciated by the locals for her modesty and naturalness. Visitors can discover the island of Dannholmen, just outside the Fjällbacka archipelago, where Ingrid Bergman had a house and where her ashes were scattered in accordance with her last wishes. The village itself is picturesque, with its old red wooden houses and charming alleyways. Visitors can enjoy the seaside, sample fresh seafood and explore the surrounding islands by boat.
