This fish market, nicknamed the "Church of Fish" because of its architecture, is a must-see in Gothenburg. Built in 1874, it has gradually become a symbol of the city and the quality of its seafood. Closed for renovation between 2020 and 2023, the building has been completely refurbished. Although it has lost some of its authenticity, becoming more exclusive than before, it remains a good place to stock up on fish and seafood. It's also possible to eat in.

Small but the restaurants are full
Excellent fish. The monkfish is a giant compared with mediterranean one.
In the shop on the left coming from the center you can taste swedish oysters.
