The Hovs Hallar nature reserve is located 8 km northwest of Båstad, with cliffs along the rugged coastline. It was in this unusually beautiful place, dotted with large rust-coloured rocks, pebbles and deep caves, that Ingmar Bergman filmed a scene in The Seventh Seal, in which the hero plays chess with death. The well-kept hotel, which bears the same name as the reserve, is the ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy this unique place without having to sleep in a tent. Nice welcome.
