8 km northwest of Båstad, the Hovs Hallar nature reserve rises up from the cliffs along a jagged coastline. It was in this place of unusual beauty, dotted with large rust-colored rocks, pebbles and deep caves, that Ingmar Bergman filmed a scene from The Seventh Seal, in which the hero plays a game of chess against death. The well-kept hotel, which bears the same name as the reserve, is the ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy this unique place without having to sleep in a tent. Pleasant welcome.
