OFFICE DE TOURISME
The Oskarshamn archipelago is a magnificent Swedish archipelago in the south-western Baltic Sea. It comprises some 5,400 islands and islets, offering numerous opportunities for exploration and discovery. The vast majority of the islands are composed of granite rock, but some, such as Runnö and Furö, are mainly sandstone. The archipelago's largest islands include Runnö, Blå Jungfrun, Storö, Ekö, Vinö, Ävrö and Furö. Blå Jungfrun is the highest island in the archipelago, with a highest point of 86.6 meters. It has been a national park since 1926. In summer, boat tours are available throughout the archipelago, and there is also a link between Oskarshamn and Blå Jungfrun National Park. Boating enthusiasts will also find marinas at Påskallavik, Ernemar, Oskarshamn, Figeholm and Klintemåla.
