Ölands Skogsby Youth Hostel (Sweden's oldest and closest to the bridge connecting the island to Kalmar) is located in a former restaurant that resembles an opulent turn-of-the-century farmhouse. The aim of the owners is to preserve the peaceful atmosphere and the simple, rural environment. A well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your meals. On sunny days, it is delightful to have breakfast in the pretty cobbled courtyard.
