The establishment opened by Julian Mak, is an excellent restaurant of dim-sum, these famous small delicious Chinese pies. They are of course to be tasted with Hong Kong specialities always well presented. The two chefs have traveled in Asia, before coming back to Dublin, with mastered and nicely presented recipes. The sophisticated setting is a little cold, but the Ranelagh village and family atmosphere of the restaurant easily compensates. Notice to lovers of authentic and tasty Asian cuisine!

Nice place to go out to we did reserve two days before when we arrived we haven't been on the list but the manager did his best to seat us. The dinner all over was ok but the service is a bit slow so there was always a long waiting time. Only little things they need to work on to make the place perfekt

Great food and service. We went for lots of dim sum dishes and shared. Also great for special takeaway. One star lost because it was soo noisy there

We have eaten here several times and the food is always nice, service good and atmosphere relaxed. As other reviews have mentioned, it is somewhat pricey but to be expected eating nice food in D6. However… you are either. A restaurant charging restaurant prices or a takeaway. We were here last night and the 6+ staff on duty were more occupied with getting takeaway orders out the door, than taking care of the customers paying sit in prices. After main course, we were waiting 20 mins for desert menu + order more drinks. I would strongly recommend that certain staff members are allocated to the restaurant only and pay attention to the tables. We have eaten in Siam Thai up the road in Rathmines on several occasions where we find the food of the same high standard, but service much better.

Separate gluten free menu. Amazing quality food, highly recommend the delicious food here, some of the best Asian food I have eaten in Dublin

We enjoyed it at Mak. Food was excellent. Wine at the end too. But: we waited a long time to get our Wine. Our original wine we chose was not on Stock, so waiting and waiting; until I asked the Waiter what the matter was waiting so long to get our bottle ... the ambience was quite loud the fuller it got there, the less it got to unterstand what the Partner was saying, sitting in front of me! The service was partly slow. Therefor 4*.
