I will start with the positives. The cocktails were immaculate, heads up to the barman. Now regarding the service... we were served by Mario. The guy was probably either intoxicated or on something else. His demeanour was rude and completely unprofessional. We left a tip just because the other server that brought us the bill was nice and because the guy at the entrance was also kind. The food was bad at best. We ordered the meal for 2 with the rib eye cooked rare. It was blue. The taste was nothing special especially for a price that high. Mash potato was stiff and looked premade. Beef dripping chips didn't taste like beef at all, just a bland potato. Bone marrow and shrimps again nothing interesting. Final note, I know the place is supposed to be atmospheric but a little bit more light would be nice, it was too dark.

We were told there were no tables available and were sent upstairs to the bar where we could still have dinner. There was a completely different menu mostly bar food. The staff was haughty and unaccommodating. Would have liked to eat there but found someplace much better

Absolutely incredible!!! Every review I read said MUST eat the bone marrow. Fantastic! Fish, steak, seafood, drinks, desserts.. it was all incredible, as was the service. Truly an excellent experience.

We were a party of 4 without reservations at the end of lunch hour, and we were seated right away. We each ordered the ribeye, which was promoted as award winning. Two with baked potatoes and two with the beef drippings chips. The meal was just okay. I believe I had higher expectations. The service was minimal.

From the moment we stepped into The bull & castle we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. Our steaks were bursting with flavor and juiciness, accompanied by mouthwatering sides and complemented by a carefully curated wine list, every bite was a symphony of taste sensations. The ambiance was refined yet inviting, making it the ideal setting for any occasion, whether a romantic dinner for two or a celebration with friends and family.

I stopped here having had a fantastic meal there before with friends. I was directed to the upstairs bar as I was a walk in by myself, and got chatting with the barman. I ordered ribeye steak, medium rare, it took a while to be served, nothing outrageous, but maybe 25 minutes. I was disappointed with what was served, which from the photo you may agree. The steak cost €43.50, it was rather small and was overcooked. The barman spotted my discombobulated appearance and when I showed the cook state and size, he agreed immediately to have it replaced. The replacement was better, but not €43.5 worth of a meal.

If you are seated and Jolanta is your server, you may as well stand and leave. Jolanta is short and unpleasant. Near the end of our experience, Jolanta told us "smiles are earned". Creepy interaction. €200 for four people, one drink each and four low end meals.

Recomiendo el strioloin on the bone.

An extraordinary great Restaurant for great Steaks and other treats and an absolut go-to if you want to treat yourself more than just a bit. My medium-rare steak was totally on point and all the recommendation of the waiters and waitresses in the direction of Whiskey, Wine and Appetizers were amazing. I absolutely can't say a single bad thing about this place and would come back here again when i'm in Dublin

The Sunday roast!! If you’re in Dublin on a Sunday 100% come here and get the Sunday roast. The sauce alone was absolutely incredible but then we also got a side of beef dripping chips and we were transported back to Belgium for true fries. We weren’t sure what to expect from the name but we determined they were potatoes cooked in oil with beef drippings (this could be wrong but that’s our guess). Do not go here without getting them. Back to the Sunday roast, so the meat was so flavorful and the mashed potatoes had green onions which I’m normally not a fan of but somehow they worked in them and I loved that added flavor. The other potatoes were also super good and even better dipped in the sauce. Overall, as you can tell, I highly recommend coming here on a Sunday and getting both the Sunday roast and a side of beef dripping chips and the view from our table was super pretty.

Un très bon restaurant qui propose un choix de viandes maturées 28 jours, tendres et succulentes. Les prix sont un peu élevés et la viande est au poids. A essayer au moins une fois pour changer du "fish and chips" !
