Pre rugby international lunch. I'd have to fez up that we are regulars before the matches but living in Belfast we are at a disadvantage to those of you living in or visiting Dublin. Gary and the team there will look after you like Lords and Ladies.

Everything about this place is old style including the entrance stairway to the second floor. The decor inside leads to a long gone time. The waiter brings a large platter of the starters to your table for you to view and gives an explains in detail the ingredients. The menu is amazing but I always choose fish as it has the best seafood in town. The waiting staff are extremely polite and efficient and treat you as though you are very special. Again there is a display of the desserts which are very tempting and it is difficult to choose as they all look so good. A thoroughly pleasant experience and it is one of my ‘go to’ places

Nice but very small restaurant upstairs. The foods are okay but NOT exceptional. For the price, I’m expecting better quality of seafoods. The lobster is fresh but not the shrimps nor the scallops. The seafoods dishes are not flavorful ( both staters and chefs special) Do I want to come back next time I’m in Dublin? Probably not.

Given the price of the food and the forced 17% service charge I was quite surprised that the prawns tasted like rubber. Clearly frozen for a long time. I also had to wait 20mins to ask for the bill (there were less than 15 people in the restaurant)

Very fancy, very expensive. Good food, but not sure if it's worth the price.

I love that they invested in providing a safe environment with clean air for customers AND their own personnel. Seriously impressed.

A gem of a restaurant with fantastic service and great oysters from Carlingford Lough, one of the stopovers of President Biden

Great food, service and atmosphere, in a slightly retro ambiance (which we loved). The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was very high quality.

We were very disappointed with our experience. We arrived for Valentine’s Dinner & were barely greeted, seated and then ignored for most of the evening.
They’ve tried to maintain a fancy illusion for a very dated restaurant, which to a degree is fine, but then do it properly- have a maitre d’ with some personality, who makes your evening feel special and worth the price you spend.
We were offered the special of the evening, lobster, prawn and fish for €60. We asked would we be able to share it, thinking it was like a platter, the waiter said yes but you should add sides.
My husband ended up ordering a rib-eye, which looked like a minute steak with the whole middle just being fat. He sent it back after 2 bites, and they ‘graciously’ took it off the bill.
The seafood platter was a very small lobster tail, a tiny prawn and fish about the size of a two-finger kitkat, all smothered in a fairly bland sauce- very disappointing to say the least and definitely not shareable.
We didn’t go extravagant on drinks, but without the steak, the bill came to €200.
The only good thing was the oysters and the bottle of red we had was decent.

Very disappointing considering it was Valentine’s Day and so expensive. We definitely won’t be back.

Really charming old school glamorous but the menu is a little dated. A lovely restaurant for a family event or for couples.

Love this restaurant!
Always fresh seafood, Dover sole is my favorite ever. And John, of course, a legend who provides luxury upscale service. He is the best!

Grand old space with delightful warm feel hidden behind a simple street door you might miss if not looking for it. The restaurant is up a flight of stairs so there is no on street presence beyond the door. The dining room is pleasant and reminiscent of the sort of place I went to as a child and wish I could find more often in this day and age of "family style" dining. The lobster was as excellent as you would expect and the French onion soup is not too be missed. A beautiful elegant dining experience.

J'étais au Lobster Pot à Dublin. Un petit coup de cœur pour leur cuisine. C'était délicieuse et bien présentée.
