Whether for excellent breakfasts, lunch or a coffee break, this institution is the locals' HQ.

Proof of its success, the room is often packed. For excellent breakfasts, lunch or dinner, this institution is the HQ of the locals, who also appreciate the fine wine list. On the terrace or indoors, seated on a high table, you can eat a club sandwich with a good homemade soup, a plate of sausage and mashed potato or a house salad. Prices are low, and scones, pains au chocolat, bagels and croissants are freshly baked. A friendly atmosphere for young executives. The best part? Breakfast is served all day long.

Eggs came cold. Coffee wasn’t good. Sent back eggs and they took off the bill. Still cost over €30 for one scrambled eggs with two sides, two orange juices and a coffee.

The Metro cafe has been around a long time now and attracts many customers from around the world. I have seen the cafe change and developed over the last 15 years. There are still old reliables on the menu, and whilst the owners have changed, the new owners have maintained the ambience of The Metro, which is now a feature of the streets of Dublin. There are a lot more tables within the restaurant and outside on the footpath, its well worth a visit ????

The closest you'll get to a French cafe for brunch in Dublin, with an Irish twist of course! Superb!
