This is a chic and discreet bistro, modern and elegant, and undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Ranelagh village. It is named after the Wild Ge ese, the Irish mercenaries who left the country to join the continental armies between the 16th and 18th centuries. In a romantic setting, you can enjoy elaborate cuisine that awakens the senses and highlights seasonal produce. Wine lovers will be delighted, as the cellar has hundreds of bottles.

I know for a high end restaurant like this the standard of the food is paramount to the establishment. Actually we went to chat with our friends while someone else worried about the cooking and the dishes. I know the constant checking that "all is ok" is central to the mission but I found it too much and often disruptive to our conversation. At least wait until we acknowledge you before you butt in, did your mother's never teach you that it's rude to interupt? But the food was exquisite.

Cannot fault the food, service was very poor. Waiter knocked over a full glass of water (this can happen) and just put the plate on top of it no one attempted to clean it up before we did (which was incredibly poor) , the bottled water was not replaced after that happened and staff went to refill our glasses with tap water, lots of interruptions with the same questions because there was too many staff in one area and I wasn't given any change back when I paid the bill with cas and no proper apology from the manager.
