ABBEY THEATRE
Founded by Yeats and Lady Gregory in 1902, this legendary theater has and always will illuminate the cultural life of Dublin.
Founded by Yeats and Lady Gregory in 1902, this theater has long enlightened the cultural life of the capital. It was often the first to program the works of Synge, O'Casey, Wilde and to make them accessible to all. It is an icon of Dublin's literary creation. The original building was unfortunately destroyed in a fire in 1951. It was not until 1966 that it was relocated to the present building. The program is contemporary, readings, concerts, plays are proposed.
