GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE
Garden dedicated to the memory of those who dedicated and/or lost their lives in the struggle for Irish independence, worth a visit.
The Garden of Remembrance was designed by Daithi Hanly and is dedicated to the memory of those who dedicated and/or lost their lives in the struggle for Irish independence. It was inaugurated in 1966 by President Éamon de Valera on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the 1916 uprising. The large sculpture by Oisin Kelly illustrates the story Children of Lir. This garden is a place of memory and silent reflection that is very important to visit with the utmost respect.
