DOCKLANDS
Visit Docklands, Dublin's newest district, to discover a number of cultural sites, including the Opera House and 3Arena.
This new district is divided into three sections: IFSC, a business district to the north of the Liffey; North Lotts, an industrial area; and Grand Canal Docks, to the south of the Liffey, where cultural sites are concentrated, such as the extraordinary Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, U2's recording studio on Hanover Quay and the 3Arena (formerly the 2Arena), which regularly plays host to international stars. Along the River Liffey, you can take the Samuel Beckett Bridge, designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava, which under its stays evokes a harp.
