This architectural style concerns the period corresponding to the kingdoms of George III (1760-1820) and George IV (1820-1830). It is characterized by neo-classical but also Gothic and exotic influences. It was adopted by snobbery by the Irish bourgeoisie in the th century. So the architecture of their houses followed a fashion coming from England. None of the big cities of the island escaped from this trend of building large wrought iron balconies. The kitchen is generally located in the basement, the dining room on the ground floor, the living room on the first floor and the owner's bedroom still above. But social crises quickly forced their residents to sell them to apartments. Many of these houses were destroyed in the 60 s. Dublin has great witnesses to Georgian architecture, such as the homes of Stephen's Green, The Custom House, The Four Court's and King's Inn.
