DUBLIN CITY GALLERY - THE HUGH LANE
Modern art gallery with fine collections of contemporary art by Irish and international artists, including Auguste Rodin...
This gallery dedicated to modern art owes its existence to Hugh Lane, an art collector who opened it in 1908 and eventually decided to donate it to the city. It houses fine collections of contemporary art by Irish and international artists such as Auguste Rodin, Walter Osborne, William Orpen, Jack B. Yeats, Mary Swanzy, Niki de Saint Phalle, Joseph Beuys, Louis le Brocquy, Francis Bacon... It also houses a reconstruction of Francis Bacon's studio.
