SKERRIES MILLS
Center with windmills and a water mill, to discover life in the Irish countryside in ancient times
Located in the pretty coastal town of Skerries, this unique centre consists of two windmills and a watermill and offers a glimpse of life in the Irish countryside in ancient times. Indeed, Ireland, an island exposed to the wind and full of water, has taken advantage of these two assets to build many wind and water mills. The water mill dates from the 14th century, the first of the windmills from the end of the 16th century and the second from the 18th century. A peaceful and interesting visit.
