Museum tracing the history of the Kennedys, originally from Dunganstown, south of New Ross. It was here in 1823 that Patrick Kennedy, the great-grandfather of JFK, the youngest president in US history, was born. Part of the exhibition describes the conditions under which Patrick Kennedy left the first New Ross to reach America in 1848, fleeing the Great Famine. The program includes memories, photos, anecdotes, archival videos and objects that belonged to the family, some of whose descendants still live in the area.
