CORK PUBLIC MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to the history of Cork, with details of the volunteers' commitment to the Irish Republic.
In a house built in the mid-1860s, there is now a museum devoted mainly to the history of Cork City, with numerous exhibitions and lectures. But you can also find details of the volunteers' commitment to the Irish Republic, evidence from the prehistoric period to the dawn of the Christian era and local crafts. For example, there is glass and silverware from Cork and a collection of hooks and lace from Youghal.
