A huge, well-preserved beach, one of the most pleasant beaches for swimming around Cork city, worth a visit.
Youghal is not very interesting apart from its beach, which is huge and very well preserved. The number of visitors depends on the weather. The beach is about 15 minutes after the exit of the village. You pass the lighthouse and continue along the sea until you find the entrance to the beach. The beach is 6.4km long and has a Blue Flag for cleanliness, making it one of the most pleasant beaches to swim at around Cork. Get your swimsuits on!
