REGIONAL MUSEUM
Museum located in a remarkable setting in Kinsale, The Courthouse, and presenting various objects including a wicker chair from the Lusitania
It is finally reduced to a single room where various objects are carefully arranged. It is of course one of those museum-curiosities that are worth more for the container than for the content. But you can still see a beautiful harpoon from the beginning of the century, the leather slipper of a local giant or a wicker chair from the Lusitania, torpedoed off Old Head. The building in which the museum is housed, The Courthouse (built in the 17th century), was used in May 1915 to investigate the disaster.
