De Barra's Folk Club is undoubtedly the most famous pub in Clonakilty. People talk all the way to Dublin about its walls covered in photos and wooden masks from all over the world, yet they don't take it seriously. Noel Redding, Jimi Hendrix's bassist, played there every night until his death in 2003. And the establishment always has excellent traditional music sessions for its music-loving guests. To make matters worse, the staff is very friendly and smiling. A must stop if you are spending an evening in Clonakilty.
