Mountains representing a vast protected area, a very interesting address for climbing enthusiasts.
The Caha Mountains are the mountains that can be seen in the background of the bay. They represent nearly 100 km of protected area and will satisfy the hiking enthusiast. The three most popular hikes here are the North Hosehoe (10km) to Barney Lake, the South Horsehoe (11.5km) from the lake to Sugarloaf Mountain, and the Sugarloaf Mountain climb (11.5km) with its panoramic views of Bantry Bay. The highest point is Hungry Hill (685m).
