CLARE MUSEUM
Museum housed in a former school and chapel in Ennis, presenting the history of County Clare and its people.
The permanent exhibition of this museum, housed in a former school and chapel in the town of Ennis, presents the history of the county and its people from the Bronze Age to the present day. It displays souvenirs of Irish history, including the pen with which Eamon De Valera and Chamberlain signed the treaty by which the Irish recovered, in 1938, the ports occupied by the English enemy. There are flags, photographs, paintings, letters, etc. The visit is rather playful and very instructive.
