Remarkable dolmen dating from 3000 BC, the most famous in the region, in a superb setting at Black Head.

The region's most famous dolmen dates back to 3000 BC, and the stone covering it seems strangely light... This Neolithic megalith, rather well preserved, represents a portal, made up of seven particularly imposing stone blocks, the top of which rises to almost two metres. The surrounding landscape is nothing short of fantastic.

Photo tip: the Poulnabrone dolmen lends itself particularly well to photography at sunset, when the light slips through the cracks in the stone blocks.

Bon étant une grande fan de dolmen et ayant fait mes classes en bretagne , je m'attendais peut être à autre chose . Car même si l'endroit où il est , est assez envoutant ,il n'est pas non plus immense. C'est un dolmen qui est ultra protégé . Un panneau m'avait également fait rire , car on a pas le droit de faire des cairns supplémentaires sur le plateau. C'est assez rigolo . Alors si on passe par là , oui il faut le voir autrement passé votre chemin.

Le dolmen est accessible par une petite route située au cœur d'un paysage magnifique. Juste un peu surpris par la taille du tombeau. Je pensais le voir plus grand. Néanmoins il vaut le détour.
