THOOR BALLYLEE
Museum dedicated to the poet and playwright William Butler Yeats, housed in a remarkableHiberno-Norman cottage.
Thoor Ballylee is a 16th century Hiberno-Norman cottage with a tower, which was purchased by the poet and playwright William Butler Yeats in 1916. A true place of inspiration for the Irish poet and playwright, it has now become a small museum entirely dedicated to this great Irish writer. You can see first editions of some of his works, some of his furniture, an audiovisual presentation in several languages, including French, about his life. A very nice visit.
