The hotel has taken advantage of its delightful position on the banks of the Shannon. Some of the hotel's 128 rooms have beautiful views of the river and the cathedral dome. And the rooms are nicely decorated, uncluttered without being too cold. On the ground floor there is a nice bar, open to non-residents, with a large terrace overlooking the Shannon. Barbecues are also organised there in summer. A gym, a swimming pool and a spa are also located in the basement of the hotel.
