FOXFORD WOOLEN MILLS
Traditional woollen spinning mill with store in Foxford, an interesting stop-off point for understanding Ireland's weaving tradition.
A handcrafted woolen mill, established in 1892 by a Sister of Charity, with an excellent reputation. Under the motto " Where master craftsman meets modern Irish design ", the company exports its Irish fabrics, plaids, hats, scarves and sweaters around the world. An interesting stop to understand the country's long tradition of weaving, but also to buy a tweed in the store, to keep you warm on all occasions. Café-restaurant on site.
