The column rises in the park of Hobill at the eastern end of the city, with a statue of Galbraith Lowry-Cole, Count of Enniskillen and General of Wellington. Started in 1845 and finished twelve years later, the tower has 108 steps (free access) leading to the most beautiful panorama of the city.
