PEACE BRIDGE
This bridge with its modern architecture is a must for Derry. You have to take it and walk from one bank to the other contemplating the superb view over the whole city, the river, the Guildhall... Since 2011, this bridge has symbolically reunited two districts that are politically and religiously opposed. Its two arms evoke this fundamental pacification of the city. It therefore connects the Ebrington district with the city centre. It is a real architectural success with its curved walkway that is very pleasant for walkers or joggers, its spaces designed to sit and enjoy the view. It also makes it possible to see the width of the Foyle. The Peace Bridge is 235 metres long and 4 metres wide. It is now an emblem of the city.
