KANESHIE MARKET
It's quite similar to the Makola market in the center, but less frequented by tourists. Here you'll find beautiful products, especially the necklace beads for which Ghanaian handicrafts are renowned. The name "Kaneshie", which means "under the lamps", comes from the time of its inauguration in the 1970s, when Kaneshie was an exclusively night-time market. It should be noted in passing that the floods that hit Accra in 2015 did not spare the market, which was submerged at the time. Activities have since resumed.
