A natural site where a colony of around fifty monkeys has taken refuge, to be visited in Takoradi.
On New Takoradi Road, near the Ahenfie Hotel traffic circle, Monkey Hill is a place not to be missed. It is a natural site where a colony of about 50 monkeys took refuge when the city of Takoradi started to grow. Because of the tourist interest in the hill, the municipal authorities quickly decided to protect the site. The best time to go there is around 5pm. It is indeed towards the end of the afternoon that you will have the most chance to cross our monkey cousins!
