The Volta Region Museum will delight those wishing to learn more about Ghanaian history and culture. It boasts a fine collection of antique items, including Kente cloth, griot sticks, combs and chiefs' stools. The guides know their stuff and will tell you some very instructive stories. If they're not always easy to understand, it's with a communicative joy and a genuine desire to pass on that they'll take you to meet all these precious objects.
