Historic hotel, the oldest in town, located right in the center of Tamale, a good address for a budget stay.
This is where you should find the lowest prices in town. Alhassan was the first hotel to be established in Tamale and now houses over 50 rooms. Its main quality is its location, right in the center of town. Admittedly, the management could be more optimal, the walls repainted and some of the furniture exchanged, but the Alhassan would then lose all its Sahelian charm. There's definitely something appealing about this "desert motel" feel, while at the same time offering a very economical option for accommodation in the city.
