This festival in the capital of the northeast region brings together the surrounding Builsa villages around traditional chiefs. It is an opportunity to remember, to settle disputes amicably and to ask the ancestor gods for peace, prosperity and health. The dancers in traditional war costume come to feverishly salute the courage and bravery of their ancestors, to the sound of percussion. They affirm their cultural identity in today's Ghana. The famous " fighting spirit " of the Builsa is now being expressed in a peaceful way.
