GRAND PACIFIC HOTEL SUVA
Colonial-style establishment built in the early century, where Charles Kingsford-Smith stopped off on his first flight.
Very beautiful establishment of colonial style, it is inevitably the luxury hotel of Suva. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the Grand Pacific Hotel was initially intended to accommodate all the passengers coming straight from the continent on the transpacific routes. It was then the favorite place of the royal family of England. The place is full of history and anecdotes: in 1928, the famous aviation pioneer Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith stopped here during his first transpacific flight between the United States and Australia.
