CORAL COAST SCENIC RAILWAY

An original and picturesque excursion is to travel for the day from Natadola to Sigatoka by train. The departure station is located opposite Shangri La's Fijian Resort. For those staying in Natadola, you must ask your hotel to drop you off at the train station. The imposing locomotives used for sugar cane have not lost their former charm. The journey lasts 1 hour and a half, crosses all kinds of bridges and plunges into the heart of the tropical forest, the guides who accompany your journey are very informative in terms of history and culture. The experience is therefore atypical but the service is gradually declining: the trains are poorly maintained and it is not uncommon to find oneself blocked on the track... but this is part of the charm of the expedition! A stopover allows you to visit a local crèche. After a two-hour visit to Sigatoka, the train returns to its departure point. Departure at 10am and return at 4pm.
