Excursion about 15 minutes from the village of Vusarutu in search of the silktail, the silk-tailed bird.

The excursion takes place about 15 minutes from the village of Vusarutu, and will take you almost 2 hours by car to get there. Transfer is included in the excursion, and departure is from your hotel in Savusavu or nearby. The guide will lead you through the forest in search of the silktail. Take comfortable, sporty shoes, as the terrain you'll be passing through is often soaked, so make sure you're properly equipped.
