Savusavu's saltwater lake offers pleasant canoeing and kayaking.
Some hotels offer canoe or kayak trips on the lake. When it's a free activity, don't hesitate! While the ride is really enjoyable, prices outside hotels are often exorbitant for 45 minutes of river pleasure. This small salt lake is in fact an arm of the Koro Sea, ending in the middle of the vegetation. The site is inhabited by a " Shark God ", protector of the population of the entire peninsula, who apparently still prowls the area..
