Visit the majestic Waisale forest, one of the rainforests around Savusavu.

There are several rainforests around Savusavu, of which Nakasa, Wainunu and Waisali are the most popular. The Waisali forest is simply majestic and well worth a visit. Hotels offer rainforest tours, which usually include a visit to a village with explanations of Fijian daily life, a kava ceremony or even a kayak trip. But there's nothing to stop you going off on your own with a cab, who will improvise as a tour guide and with whom you will have negotiated a half-day rate.
