Opened in 1921, this restaurant is an institution for the whole of Trieste, which loves nourishing Eastern European cuisine. Siora Rosa (Mother Rosa), who ran the establishment in the 1930s, used to cook ham legs! Even today, people line up to enjoy simple, tasty dishes: soups of all kinds, tripe, pork and cabbage stew, sausages with sauerkraut and steamed or fried potatoes, as well as fried foods, ratatouille and the famous ham and mustard sandwiches (to take away).

Abbiamo preso la caldaia piatto tipico ma non ci è piaciuto questione di gusti troppo forti le salse preferiamo il nostro carrello di bolliti bolognese

Luogo tipico dove gustare la cucina locale, cibo di qualità e servizio impeccabile. Peccato piovesse ma siamo stati benissimo anche fuori

Ci siamo fermati a pasquetta e abbiamo provato delle specialità triestine, cotto e kren con senape, ottime le polpette di carne, al prosciutto e con le verdure, abbiamo provato le trippe e il baccalà alla vicentina ... nulla di dire, l'unica appunto gli gnocchi con il gulash che avevano un sugo troppo liquido .... comunque un posto consigliato!
