BARCOLANA

This regatta has existed since 1969. Every year, on the second Sunday of October, more than 2,000 sailing boats, from the most modest to the most sumptuous, compete across the Gulf of Trieste. This regatta is the most important in the Mediterranean and one of the most important sailing races in the world, which has even earned it an entry in the Guinness Book of Records! The spectacular race attracts thousands of visitors who flock to the coast. It is an opportunity for a big party on the water and in the streets with stands and entertainment.
