CIVICO MUSEO TEATRALE CARLO SCHMIDL
Beautiful building housing a collection dedicated to theater and lyrical music.
On the Canal Grande, Palazzo Gopcevic is a beautiful building with an eclectic architecture, built in 1850 by Giovanni Berlam. Today it houses a collection dedicated to theater and lyrical music. It was bequeathed by the musicologist and publisher Carlo Schmidl, of Hungarian origin, who lived in Trieste. The permanent exhibition shows a lot of old instruments, pianos, harmoniums, costumes, posters, photos, booklets, etc. For lovers of Tartini or Verdi.
