PIAZZA UNITÀ D'ITALIA
Large square in the heart of Trieste with a statue of Charles VI and a fountain of the 4 continents.
In the heart of Trieste, Piazza Unità d'Italia is one of the largest squares in Europe, open to the sea. It extends visually to the Audace pier, a favorite promenade of the Triestinians. While the current outline of the square dates back to the 19th century, the Palazzo Pitteri, the statue of Charles VI and the Fountain of the Four Continents date from the 18th century. The Caffè degli Specchi, one of the oldest in the city (1840), also overlooks this lively square, full of history and a nerve center where something is always happening.

Si vous traversez côté port, vous pourrez admirer des statues de brodeuses et vous installez sur les marches qui descendent à la mer.
